Omarchy Keyboard Shortcuts: Complete Hotkey Guide

A complete Omarchy keyboard shortcut guide for the Super key, windows, workspaces, app launching, screenshots, clipboard, notifications, and system controls.

Omarchy organizes global actions around Super. On a Windows keyboard, this is normally the Windows key. On an Apple keyboard, it is commonly the physical key marked Command, although the active mapping is authoritative.

Omarchy's defaults evolve. Press Super + K for current main bindings, Super + Alt + K for Tmux bindings, and Super + Ctrl + K for Herdr bindings. This page follows the official Hotkeys manual as of August 26, 2026. If your system differs, follow the installed version and custom configuration.

Menus, locking, and windows

Closing all windows can terminate unsaved editors and terminal jobs. Practice only with disposable windows.

The official manual identifies ~/.config/hypr/bindings.lua for custom app bindings. Back it up and confirm that the installed version still uses this path before editing.

Universal clipboard

These unified bindings avoid the usual difference between terminal Ctrl + Shift + C/V and graphical-app Ctrl + C/V.

Community OmaPaste adds a local clipboard timeline on Super + Shift + V, but it runs a background daemon and stores history in SQLite. It does not replace the stock picker, and removing only the plugin does not clean the daemon, database, or Hyprland edits.

Tmux, Ghostty, file manager, and LazyVim

In-app bindings work only while that application has focus and are especially likely to change with app configuration. Omarchy's Tmux prefix defaults to Ctrl + Space (Ctrl + B also works). Common file-manager keys are Ctrl + L to enter a path, Space to preview, and Backspace to move up one directory.

When a shortcut does not work

Press Super + K and search for the current action instead of trusting an old guide.
Confirm that the Windows key or an Apple keyboard's physical Command key is recognized.
Inspect the input method, keyboard layout, and custom configuration for an override.
Close an app or remote desktop that may intercept global keys.
Distinguish “target app is not installed” from “the binding did not trigger.”
Record a minimal reproduction instead of resetting all configuration first.

If a window or input is frozen, use the troubleshooting guide to distinguish one app, the Hyprland session, and the whole machine.
